This is one of those long-lasting projects. For our kids, Einstein E and Power P, fascination for dinosaurs began when they were two years old. They entered the world of these amazing creatures when one nursery teacher organised a visit to a paleontological museum. Since then, and it was almost four years ago, dinosaurs have been one of the biggest interests for our boys.
Interesting facts about dinosaurs:
Dinosaur fossils have been found on all seven continents.
Modern birds are a kind of dinosaur because they share a common ancestor with non-avian dinosaurs.
The longest dinosaur was Argentinosaurus, which measured over 40 metres, as long as four fire engines.
The dinosaur with the longest name was Micropachycephalosaurus meaning "tiny thick-headed lizard".

10 activities for dino fans
1) Museums.
Paleontological museums are a great way to start. They get to see and feel the real thing. We visited the paleontological museum in Munich. There, our kids saw fossils from different eras of Earth's history and impressive skeletons that provide insight into the evolution of vertebrates. 2) Books.Well, books are always the right choice when you want to learn something. Even grown-ups can read some interesting facts they have never heard before. I learned that the oldest known dinosaur is Eoraptor, a meat-eater that lived 228 million years ago. 3) Puzzles.Our boys are not crazy about puzzles. But huge floor puzzles with different dinosaurs are pretty motivating. 4) Outdoor exhibitions.Fresh air, running, and watching dinosaur replicas is a recipe for a perfect whole day trip. 5) Indoor exhibitions.These can be very interactive. When we visited the DINO WORLD exhibition in Munich, the boys got to slide down a brachiosaurs' tail, ride on a triceratops, hear a T-rex growling, touch some sharp dinos` teeth, paint, and play. We also had to go to this exhibition three times. 6) Sand kit.There are many benefits of playing with sand. It is a great sensory toy for kids as they explore their sense of touch and play and discover the texture. These dinosaur moulds were a gift, and this activity could keep them busy for a long time. 7) Arts and crafts.This stegosaurus was a birthday card they made for a kindergarten friend who was also a huge fan of everything from the Mesozoic Era. 8) Birthday party.Einstein E and Power P's 4th birthday party was all about dinosaurs. There was a cake and all kinds of different activities. But the highlight of the party was definitely their daddy dressed in a dino costume. 9) Dino rescue.
This is a simple activity that doesn't require much preparation, and can keep children busy for a long time. Freeze them and free them.
10) Toys.Well, there isn't much left to say about kids and toys.
