Fun Outdoor Activity - Bubble Print Paintings
Blowing bubbles to make bubble art is a great way to discuss colours, paintings and artwork. You can read some interesting facts about bubbles and colours here.
Interesting facts about paintings:
- People have been painting for as long as 40,000 years.
- Early cave paintings were drawn with red or yellow ochre, hematite, manganese oxide, and charcoal. Not bubbles :)
- Prehistoric artists may have painted animals to "catch" their soul or spirit to hunt them more easily.
- The most expensive painting is Salvator Mundy by Leonardo da Vinci sold in 2017 for $ 450,3 million. (Should I even mention that my kids, Einstein E and Power P, asked if they could sell their paintings for that much money? Einstein E would like to sell his painting and buy a Tesla.)
